بررسی تأثیر چرخش محوری پرتابه اجایو کالیبر کوچک بر پارامترهای نفوذ در اهداف بتنی به‌روش المان‌محدود

Abstract:

In the field of the penetration of kinetic energy projectiles into concrete slabs, scientists have focused on using gas guns. As most of the projectiles have a rotation because they fired from grooved barrels, the penetration theory of them into concrete targets has not to be mentioned. Knowing the residual velocity of the rotating projectiles is important in designing of the civil and military structures.  In this paper, the rotation effects of 7.62 mm and 12.7 mm projectiles on the penetration depth, the scabbing diameter, and the carter diameter of a concrete slab have numerically founded. The validation of numerical analyses has to compare with penetration depths of Forrestal tests. Moreover, the mesh dependency has checked before that. The results showed that this effect could influence the residual velocity up to 8.4 % and 13.1% for 7.62 mm and 12.7 mm projectiles respectively. However, for the penetration depths, these values are 2 % and 3.5 %, respectively. In addition, in order to use the maximum principal strain as an erosion criterion, a relation has founded.
